
The touring Winchester Cathedral Choir will
perform at 4pm on Sunday, April 21 at All Saints’ Church in Beverly Hills,
ending a seven-city tour.
Representing a thousand-year tradition of
English choral music, this group is recognized as one of Britain’s leading
cathedral choirs for its choral worship, international concerts and numerous
recordings.
For All Saints’, the choir will sing early
music, including Palestrina, Byrd and Victoria, as well as 20th Century
works by Pablo Casals, Marcel Dupre, Edward Elgar, Jean Langlais’ “Messe
Solennelle” and Herbert Howell’s a capella “Requiem.”
Beverly Hills will be the last stop on the
choir’s seven-city tour. It is the choir’s fourth U.S. tour and the second
under the direction of David Hill.
